CloudVeneto is a private cloud targeted mainly to our scientific communities.
Our journey began in 2013 with the implementation of a INFN Padova-LNL dedicated infrastructure, called Cloud Area Padovana. This infrastructure was then merged with a Cloud facility owned by ten departments of the University of Padova: this is how CloudVeneto was born. CloudVeneto can now support all researchers of the Universitity of Padova and of the Padova and LNL INFN units.
Over the past decade, CloudVeneto has undergone a significant development to cater to various scientific disciplines. This has driven us to refine and enhance our services, offering standardized solutions for a wide range of use cases. For example, our “Container as a Service” (CaaS) simplifies
Kubernetes cluster management for users.
INFN resources of CloudVeneto are integrated in the INFN’s national cloud (INFN Cloud).
The project’s governance includes a 5-member Management Committee, as well as a Control Committee, with representation from each Department/Institute participating in the initiative.
